Exploiting the anniversary of Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27), cybercriminals are launching tricks impersonating state agencies, charitable organizations, and tribute programs to trick people into providing information and appropriate assets.

Scammers approach targets with information that they are eligible to receive subsidies or tribute gifts, using fake images, fanpages, and even AI to fake voices and videos to gain trust. After that, they request victims to provide personal information, bank accounts, OTP codes, or entice them to access links, scan QR codes, install applications, or even pay upfront fees under the pretext of "file verification" or "receiving support."

Bkav Cybersecurity experts advise citizens:

• Only receive information from competent state agencies.

• Do not provide personal information, bank account details, OTP codes, or PIN codes to anyone.

• Do not access links, scan QR codes, or install applications from unclear sources.

• Be vigilant with calls, messages, or fanpages requesting money transfers to receive subsidies or gifts.

• Directly verify money transfer requests from relatives and friends before executing them.
