Taking advantage of market fluctuations and the demand for online trading on social networks, scammers create fake groups, fanpages, or accounts to advertise cheap silver, exploiting people's desire for bargains to appropriate assets.
They post offers selling silver at below-market prices, promise face-to-face transactions, and build trust by arranging for the seller and buyer to meet directly to inspect the goods. Once the buyer agrees to the transaction, they require money to be transferred to a designated account and then quickly cut off contact, appropriating the entire amount.
Bkav Cybersecurity experts advise citizens:
• Only trade silver and gold at reputable, licensed establishments with full invoices and documentation
• Absolutely do not transfer money without verifying the seller and the transaction
• Immediately report to the police upon discovering signs of fraud
