Bkav and Hanoi University of Science & Technology sign cooperation agreement

On January 16, 2021, Bkav Corporation and School of Information and Communication Technology - SoICT (Hanoi University of Science & Technology) signed a cooperation agreement in high technology training, research and transfer. The cooperation agreement includes: Developing artificial intelligence - the core technology of Industry 4.0; Training high-quality human resources in cyber security, with the orientation of building the first Cyber ​​Security Academy in Vietnam.

The signing ceremony of the cooperation between Bkav and SoICT took place under the witness of Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Education and Training – Mr. Hoang Minh Son, Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Information and Communications – Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung, Rector of Hanoi University of Science & Technology – Assoc.Prof. Huynh Quyet Thang, and other high-ranking leaders of the School.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ta Hai Tung, President of SoICT, shared about the cooperation with Bkav: "The National Digital Transformation Program and the National Strategy for the Fourth Industrial Revolution to 2030, recently approved by the Government, all emphasized the vital significance of developing high-quality human resources in the fields of Industry 4.0, in which it is impossible not to mention Information Security. The Prime Minister has also approved the Project "Training and developing information security human resources for the period of 2021-2025" with the aim of turning Vietnam into a power on information security, contributing to the success of digital transformation. As a pioneer in high-quality training in IT for many years, SoICT has defined our mission in preparing high-quality information security human resources for the country. In training high-quality human resources, there is an indispensable role in cooperating with leading technology corporations, especially in a specific field, requiring a background in specialized technology such as information security. And that is the reason for the cooperation signing today, between us and a leading corporation in the field like Bkav, where for many years has been gathering talented experts with the best technology infrastructure in Vietnam".

Bkav and SoICT will cooperate in research and development of technologies and algorithms for identification, authentication, and image analysis using artificial intelligence. In the first year of cooperation, the two sides will focus on providing an open platform "AI View Platform" for individuals, units and organizations to jointly develop applications on this platform.

About cyber security training, SoICT and Bkav will cooperate to develop a training program for high-quality engineers on cyber security, with the orientation of training experts with specialized expertise. Participating in the program, students will learn theories and practice with the best lecturers and experts in the field, practice on Bkav's advanced training systems, as well as have practical experience in the internship programs at domestic and foreign service providers for fighting against attacks and ensuring cyber security.

In addition, the strong digital transformation has placed the importance of information security at the forefront in ensuring the security of each country. Therefore, the need for training human resources with specialized skills in this field at agencies and organizations is increasing. To meet that real demand, Bkav and SoICT will provide short-term training courses to the community.

Right after the signing ceremony, the first training course "Incident response and threat hunting" was opened with the participation of nearly 40 officers from more than 20 leading technology companies and corporations in Vietnam such as Viettel, FPT, VCCorp, Base, etc. The students will be taught by experts from the two units on the advanced training system of Bkav and DuDuIT (Korea) sponsored through the KOICA IBS project.

Sharing at the ceremony, Mr. Vu Thanh Thang, Director of Bkav's Institute of AI Technology said: "Soon realizing Vietnam's capacity and potential in technology, for many years, Bkav has expanded its fields of from cyber security to research and production of high-tech products such as smarthome, smartphone, most recently artificial intelligence with AI View camera and so on. The cooperation with SoICT is a cooperation between two leading Vietnamese units in technology and training. Our strategic direction is to bring Make in Vietnam high-tech products and services to domestic and international users, together building Vietnam into a power in technology".
