Warning: Fake fanpages impersonating Mailisa offer “refunds” and product recalls to scam users

After Mailisa Aesthetic Clinic suspended its operations, numerous scam fanpages impersonating Mailisa’s customer support channels have emerged. These pages use names and images designed to closely resemble Mailisa’s official presence, posting instructions on how customers can “resolve benefits” to gain trust. They then ask users to provide personal information or direct them to links from unknown sources in order to steal user data.

Bkav cybersecurity experts warn that this is a particularly dangerous scenario. Instead of stealing money immediately, scammers quietly collect victims’ information to impersonate them, take over online accounts, and use these compromised accounts as a springboard for subsequent scam campaigns—causing long-term, difficult-to-control consequences.

To avoid risks, experts advise users to:

  • Do not interact with any fanpages claiming to support refunds, product recalls, or customer benefit resolution related to Mailisa Aesthetic Clinic on social media.

  • Never provide personal information, financial details, bank account numbers, authentication codes, or identification documents in any form.

  • Do not access unknown links, even if they are presented as verification forms or support procedures.

  • Only follow and verify information from official sources and competent authorities; do not trust promises of fast refunds or unusually high support rates.

  • Use licensed security and antivirus software, as default device protections are insufficient against increasingly sophisticated malicious links and malware, thereby reducing the risk of device takeover and data theft.
