Bkav CEO Mr. Nguyen Tu Quang is expected to run the Committee aiming at implementing training, forming a community of developers and applications, and honoring AI research and development efforts in Vietnam.
Over the weekend, the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association (VINASA) successfully organized its 2022 Strategy Conference. Accordingly, the slogan of the year is set as "Join efforts for Digital Transformation" to call enterprises and government agencies to accelerate digital transformation.
At the conference, VINASA set its strategy in 2022 based on three main pillars: Technology, Connection and Community Development on the basis of establishing eight specialized committees, including the Committee for Development of Artificial Intelligence, chaired by Mr. Nguyen Tu Quang, CEO of Bkav Corporation, who is also VINASA Vice President.
Mr. Nguyen Tu Quang was born on June 11, 1975 in Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province, Vietnam. In 1995, Nguyen Tu Quang started implementing anti-virus programs when he was a third-year student at the Faculty of Information Technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and provided it for free (until 2005) to the internet community.
In December 2001, the Center for Software and Cybersecurity Solutions (BKIS) was established under the auspices of Hanoi University of Science and Technology with 9 other members, and Mr. Quang became the director of this Center.
In 2003, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quang was awarded the title of Knight of Information Technology by EChip Magazine. In 2005, after 10 years of free of charge provision, Bkav was officially commercialized. Currently, Mr. Quang is the Chairman and CEO of Bkav Corporation.
Regarding the AI Development Committee chaired by Mr. Quang, it is expected to pioneer the implementation of the National Strategy for AI research and development, promoting the formation of the AI ecosystem in Vietnam from academic research, development of platforms and solutions to promoting AI applications.
The activities of this committee will be aimed at training, forming a community of developers, applications and honoring AI research and development efforts in Vietnam.
Besides the AI Development Committee, other committees were established including the Digital Transformation Committee for Business, Digital Government Development Committee, Smart City Committee, Startup Investment & Development Committee, International Cooperation Committee, Policy Committee and Community Development Committee.
