Bkav participates in founding Alliance against malware and cyber attacks

On April 17, 2019, under the auspices of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), Information Security Department, Vietnam Information Security Association (VNISA) and Bkav Corporation together with 4 other technology corporations (Viettel, VNPT, FPT, CMC) signed to establish Alliance against malware and cyber attacks. The event is within the framework of Vietnam Security Summit 2019 held at Melia Hotel, Ha Noi.

The Alliance is established with the purpose of uniting, gathering forces to strengthen cooperation and information sharing to ensure the country’s safety of national information and internet user community. In fact, the Information Security Department has closely cooperated with VNISA and large enterprises in the field to deploy solutions to ensure cyber security. As a result, the number of malware and network attack cases have decreased markedly.

The Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung shared: "From 5 original units, the Alliance against malware and cyber attacks will continue growing. We can only succeed when we combine together". The Minister also emphasized that Vietnam has the opportunity to become a great nation in cyber security and we will not miss that opportunity.

At the Summit, Mr. Ngo Tuan Anh, Bkav's Vice President of Cyber Security, had a talk on developing cyber security industry in Vietnam – Facts and viewpoint of businesses in digital transformation. This is one of 3 presentations in the main session of the event. Mr. Ngo said: "Vietnam has good cyber security resources, and has got remarkable achievements worldwide. It can be said, cyber security is a rare field that Vietnam has the opportunity to stand on the list of greatest nations. Therefore, we need to consider the construction of cyber security industry as a key".

Vietnam Security Summit 2019 updated the cyber security situation in Vietnam, predicted attack trends and recommended solutions and techniques to prevent threats in a comprehensive manner. The event was organized by Vietnam Internet Association and IEC Group under the direction and chair of the Department of Information and Communications, Ministry of Information and Communications.
