Question: What vaccines do the patients receive? AstraZeneca

Question: When were they injected? Is time enough to generate antibodies?

They were given the first dose in March, and the second in April. According to vaccine manufacturer AstraZeneca, antibodies are best produced within four to six weeks after the second dose. So, from April to now, the time is enough as specified by the manufacturer to generate antibodies.

Question: How is AstraZeneca effective?

The manufacturer says the effectiveness is 89%, but with the British and Indian variants, the statistics show that the protective effectiveness drops to 60%.

Question: A person has antibodies but why is that one still infected with the virus?

When a person is exposed to the virus, that is, exposed to the source of the disease, such as inhaling the virus from a sick person’s sneeze, the VIRUS CANNOT KNOW YOU HAVE BEEN VACCINEED OR NOT to “avoid”. So, it will still enter the body, multiplying in larger quantities.

However, if you have been vaccinated, the already-existing antibodies will “fight” with the virus, limiting the replication until the virus is eliminated from the body. Thus, people who have been vaccinated can still carry the virus, but in less quantity, for less time than if not vaccinated.

Question: Why are all of the above patients asymptomatic, except for one person who has a fever and is an indicator of the outbreak?

Because they have been vaccinated, the body’s response will be "softer", because they have been trained with the vaccine before.

At this point, we have explained the matter. The main reason is that it is impossible to “forbid” the virus from entering the body and the protective effect of vaccine cannot be 100%.

The incident at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City also shows that people who have been vaccinated can also be infected with the virus and infect others. It is more dangerous that the vaccinated person DOESN’T SHOW ANY SYMPTOMS, making it more difficult to find the indicator case.

Therefore, those who have been vaccinated, while the society has not yet achieved community immunity, should take more measures to avoid spreading the virus to others if they accidentally contract the virus.

This is also a good example of why WHO still urges people to wear masks even though they have been vaccinated.

Thus, “5K + Vaccine + Technology” still needs to be absolutely adhered to in the fight against COVID-19.
