The first course of the Cyber Security Academy in the training cooperation program between Hanoi University of Science & Technology and Bkav Corporation has just completed on the morning of January 30, with the last content being cyber security drill. The training program applies the latest model Blended Learning, combining online learning and traditional learning.

Bkav Corporation and School of Information & Communication Technology, Hanoi University of Science & Technology on January 16 signed a cooperation agreement which mainly aims at developing artificial intelligence (AI) - the core technology of the Industry 4.0; training high-quality human resources in the field of cyber security, building the first Cyber Security Academy in Vietnam. The first course closing is a landmark of this partnership.

The first training course is titled 'Cyber security incident response' and has the participation of nearly 40 officers from more than 20 leading technology companies and corporations in Vietnam such as Viettel, FPT, VCCorp, Base, etc. Blended Learning model combines the advantages of online and face-to-face learning, focuses on students, helps students increase initiative and interaction in the learning process. Especially, in the complicated situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, new model helps to ensure the progress and quality of teaching and learning.

At the end of the course, students practice their learned knowledge through cyber security drill, which improves their ability to monitor and respond to cyber security incidents, protecting information systems. The topic of the drill includes simulating scenarios when an organization is targeted by APT attacks. The teams directly operate the SOC system to monitor, detect signs of attack, proactively respond and protect the information systems under their management, thereby minimizing the damage.

The practices are the most favored by students. Many students offered to take part in the next intensive courses.

The next course of Cyber Security Academy is expected to open in March 2021.
