With a series of 6 articles on Total solution for COVID-19 prevention, I have shown the cause of EVERY BIG OUTBREAK in Vietnam over the past 1 year, all are due to medical facilities did not test COVID-19 in people with clinical signs of this disease.
Specifically, the outbreak in Danang last July allowed the virus to spread for 3 cycles, leading to the number of infections multiplying 27 times to 531 cases instead of only 19 cases (531 divided by 27). Again, the current BIG OUTBREAK of COVID-19 at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases has the same cause. Let’s analyze the case!
Many newspapers reported on patient No. 3019 as follows: On the afternoon of April 27, the patient had a cough. By the next day, he was more tired, had no fever, hard to breathe, coughed more, and had poor appetite. The ultrasound image showed pleural effusion, and the chest x-ray showed heart enlargement and pleural effusion.
If my proposal of HOSPITAL CHECKPOINT AND TESTING had been strictly implemented, the first COVID-19 case of this outbreak would have been detected on April 27, 7 DAYS BEFORE the actual date of May 4, when the new outbreak was discovered by accident (a doctor working in Laos was found to have been infected with COVID-19).
Take the infection coefficient of 4.5 as the outbreak in Hai Duong because this time the virus is an Indian variant, with a strong transmission like the British variant. After 7 days, which is 1.4 of the 5-day cycle (7 divided by 5), the virus had a chance to multiply by 8 times. Up to now, the outbreak has about 300 cases. Dividing this by 8, we can calculate the infections should have been only about 37 cases.
With 37 infections, the handling is much simpler, like the dozens of small outbreaks we have handled over the past 1 year. There should not have been hundreds of infections spreading to K hospital and dozens of provinces as now.
